DRS Plate

So the Daniel Ricciardo Series Plate is now over, not the weekend we hoped for but still decent. I think decision making really cost me on the weekend but not so much on luck for once.

In practice I was definitely on the pace only couple tenths behind the leaders on old tyres. I was also 1 tenth off the DRS 100 lap record before 3 others beat it in practice yesterday.

Race day I wasn't as fast since it was raining. Heat 1 in the rain I started 7th and I started 7th and finished 13th but alpha timing counted me as 14th. The problem was I didn't defend even though I should have but I simply didn't see them and they came right up my inside which then put me further behind. Heat 2 was still raining but wasn't as heavy I started 19th and finished 9th which is pretty decent making 10 positions. Heat 3 it was dry and I started 7th again and finished 6th. It could've been much better because I got jumped on the line and fell backwards to 10th but I managed to make it back up. The final it should have been a lot better but this is again down to me not defending when I should've have been. I was definitely on the pace but I was too busy battling for position rather than putting in good lap times to catch up to the pack.

Overall ok weekend and I am ready for Shennington Round 1 on 29th and 30th of April.
